Dr Amy Feng

Dr Amy Feng is a Melbourne trained gynaecologist who is passionate about providing holistic and individualised treatment.

Amy completed her Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery at Monash University in 2008. She discovered her passion for women’s health during her medical residency, when she was awarded the Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) Medal in her Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology examinations. She then completed 6 years of specialist obstetrics and gynaecology training at The Royal Women’s Hospital and Monash Health.

Amy then went on to complete a prestigious 2-year laparoscopic fellowship with the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES), as well as completing a Master of Surgery in Advanced Gynaecological Surgery. This training has only been completed by a handful of gynaecologists in the area. It means she has performed hundreds of laparoscopic surgeries during her training and is able to perform both straightforward and complex operations with finesse.

Amy recognised that there was a strong need for patients with endometriosis and fibroids to have tailored fertility treatment, and so she completed a Master of Reproductive Medicine in order to provide comprehensive fertility care to these patients.

Teaching and mentoring is important to Amy. She is an Affiliate Senior Lecturer at Deakin University, a RANZCOG training supervisor for training obstetrician and gynaecologists, and is on the AGES Education Committee to oversee the future of advanced laparoscopic gynaecological training. In addition, Amy has been invited to present at various conferences. She continues to keep on top of the latest research through collaborations and attendance at conferences.

Amy’s main focus is on heavy menstrual bleeding, endometriosis and pelvic pain, and all aspects of fertility. She provides Telehealth appointments if suitable and is passionate about providing the highest level of care for you on your health journey.
